Here it is almost July, and the Imaginarium Writers’ Festival is just around the corner. I’m looking forward to it, even though I won’t have a book up for an award this year. I know I have a lot of fellow authors who do have books nominated and I wish every one of them could be a winner. The event runs from Friday, July 14, to Sunday, July 16. I won’t be there on Sunday, however. My son and I are going on a road trip to Independence, Mo. to see the recently renovated Truman Presidential Library. I’m a long-time historical buff and I am definitely looking forward to this. Considering the proximity, we may drive just a few miles down the road to Abilene, Kansas and visit the Eisenhower Museum, also.
