Award-winning author Erv Klein lives in Louisville, Ky. with his wife, Linda, their rescue dog, Bailey, and Castro, the cat who will never understand the need for a dog. They have four absolutely adorable grandchildren, although the one in the army will probably cringe if he reads this. One son and a daughter live in the Louisville area and one son lives in Paris, France.
Erv’s first book, Subterfuge, which he researched for five years before writing, was chosen Best Historical Fiction at the 2020 Imaginarium Writers’ Convention. His second book, Squat, a family saga, was a Finalist for Best Literary Fiction at the 2022 event. He is currently working on another family saga and fans of Squat have asked for a follow-up so they can find out more about some of the characters that are not so front and center in Bob and Squat’s story. If he can finish those, Erv has plans for an alternative historical fiction set in the Pacific theater of World War II.
Erv is President of the Board of Directors of Louisville Literary Arts and is a member of the adjunct faculty at Indiana University Southeast. He is a member of three writing groups as well as the Professional Writers’ Association, the American Writers and Artists, Inc., the Historical Novel Association, the Nonfiction Authors Association, the International Association of Professional Writers and Editors, and the Kentucky Bar Association.
